First aid kit maintenance

What does our annual maintenance consist of?

A first aid kit includes, among other things, wound dressings. These wound dressings have an expiry date. In addition, the wound dressings are used regularly, meaning the first aid kit is no longer complete. In accordance with the Working Conditions Act (Arbowet), employers must ensure that their first aid equipment is always intact and is checked at least once a year for completeness and sterility.

Other first-aid products

Eyewash station

In the event of eye contact with corrosive substances, rinse thoroughly for at least 15 minutes to prevent permanent damage. The eyewash station is an effective first aid measure for accidents involving chemicals, dust, dirt, metal, acids, or other eye irritations. Permanent damage can often be avoided while awaiting medical assistance. Flame Control B.V. supplies these refillable eyewash stations. The bottles are also available for purchase separately. The eyewash station should be mounted on a fixed location on the wall so that the bottles are within reach of your employees.

Preferably, the first aid kit should be hung, AED, eyewash station and fire extinguisher in the same location. This way, you create a complete Emergency Response Location. The stations are equipped with a cover so that the bottles are protected against dust, dirt, or damage.

Plaster dispenser

Precious time is often wasted searching for the right plaster. With the plaster dispenser, you have the solution at your fingertips. The dispenser is hung in a fixed location, preferably next to the first-aid kit. Easy to mount on the wall, with an easy-to-replace refill.
