Until 2009, only the standard fire hose was common. The Fire Protection division of VSH, in close cooperation with the fire brigade, introduced the high-pressure dry extinguishing technique.
An Xpress stainless steel system with a maximum allowable working pressure of 40 bar is now being used for high-pressure lines. Pressing makes it easier to incorporate the dry fire-fighting pipe with the other installation work. Moreover, it is carried out more quickly and flexibly. The pipe is almost three times thinner, which has numerous advantages.

The successful new high-pressure extinguishing system with an improved swivel coupling allows for exceptionally fast firefighting in tall buildings. With this new technique, connections can be made quickly without reducing the system's water pressure. Ultimately, a high-pressure dry pipe system can therefore significantly limit fire damage, especially in tall buildings.
